Last week, my adult son (40-something) and I (almost 70-something) were out shoveling snow out of our 300 foot long driveway. He was sore afterwards; I wasn’t. Maybe I should have told him the secrets (1) Pace yourself, (2) Stay hydrated, (3) Push the snow when you can instead of lifting it, (4) Get your butt under it. Let your legs do the lifting, (5) Take a couple of Ibuprofen when you stop, (6) Be in shape to begin with. Do routine upper body workouts.

Not long enough. The driveway is still covered with snow.

Brother probably is in a nearby bar toasting both his crafty escape and his frozen toes

“About 5 hours.” Someone answered in a cold voice.
