I suppose it’s not butch (?right word?), but I recommend helmets. They not only protect your brains, but your arms, too. (The point is that if (when!) you fall, it is easier to roll with it when you know your head is protected, otherwise you are more likely to try to catch yourself with your hands, which has unfortunate results. I speak from experience.)
Oh man, Jane’s on a Schwinn “Orange Peeler”. We didn’t have enough money when I was young, but boy, did I ever want one of those. I did save up enough for a Huffy “Rail”.
Cool bike! That Schwinn Stingray is almost exactly my my first bike. Only my seat was white with a yellow stripe. Sucky thing was it was a Christmas present, so I had a wait months to ride it, stupid snow.
where did Jane find my bike ?!? same gold color, handlebars & banana seat !!!!! ( except both my wheels were the same size ) I haven’t seen it since the early 70’s…. (I enjoyed the Jane/alt-Jane/betaJane story) safe travels Paige
