I couldn’t agree more when I’m done — as I call it — uncling (or aunting in the females’ perspective) around with my stepmother’s grandchildren.
A big relief, and a big letdown. I love letting my hair down and just playing at their level, whatever it is. The level changes over time, but it’s always a kick to watch their minds develop. Hard to keep up if you don’t understand what they’re trying to tell you, but you can adapt if you pay enough attention.
