I know bicycle thieves can take the bicycle by unbolting the front wheel and leaving it chained up, but how would they do so with Lio’s jetpack?

He should not have done that!

This kid just hates taking the school bus!

I’ve been waiting for my jetpack since the 1950s. I’m beginning to think they were just joshing me.

Later in life this will be Lio’s version of “I had to walk uphill to school, both ways !”

When I was a boy, sonny, we used to read Buck Rogers/in the 25th Century in the funnies. Good old Buck had a “flying belt” very like what Lio is playing around with here. Comic strip Buck Rodgers was far more interesting IMO than the TV version with Gil Gerard and Erin Grey. Sleek rocketships! Lio would like one!

I liked the Commando Cody serials in the 50s.

Isn’t there a Calvin and Hobbes strip just like this?
