So Norman’s engaged, and Ralph’s on the sofa. I hope it’s comfortable, he spends a lot of time sleeping there.

At least it’s Echo and not Wendy.

As the saying goes, everything happens for a reason.

I would love it if Norman and Echo were engaged – their loopy, goofy relationship would be a new direction for this strip. After all, how many times can we see him be pushed off by Wendy?

And you didn’t even screw it up by opening your mouth. But there’s still time and we can depend on you.

How did that not lead to a kiss? I don’t recall ever telling someone I had deeper feelings and not kissing.

So, of course, at their wedding, Wendy shows up to object – “Remember when we tried to elope and it turned out that the guy performing the ceremony wasn’t licensed? It turns out he was! We’ve been married all this time!” – and Echo runs off, only for Wendy to remark, “Oh, wait – I must have dreamed that last part. You didn’t think I’d let you be happy, did you?”

This could have been much better if they got TWO mushy cards instead of just one…. but what do I know?

No way I ever sleep on the couch because of my wife being mad. You mad? You can go….Fortunately, my wife isn’t a harpy like this one.
