my most recent ear-worms: ‘Tempers- what isn’t there’, ‘Creatures -exterminating angel’ (dust off after discovering Tempers), ‘London after Midnight – kiss’ (rediscover after dusting off The Creatures)
I don’t recognize any of the songs in the comments. I’ve heard of Sing, sing, sing – but not with Gene Krupa. Maybe it’s because I’m not into drumming – unless it is Tahitian.
I saw Tommy Igoe and The Birdland All-Stars last Saturday. Wow, that guy is pure joy to hear and watch! It would’ve been impossible to keep my feet still, even if I’d wanted to.
Drum solo in Wipe out sticks in my mind a lot. I knew a guy who could drum solo on that so long dancers got tired and set down! Craig Brown in a local country band.

Make that 3. I keep my drum solos out of my car.

4. On the other hand, I can’t help playing along with Gene Krupa on Benny Goodman’s ‘Sing Sing Sing’

I will never get that drum solo right. I can barely get the “O, lord” part right.

If it was the In A Gadda Da Vida drum solo, he’d be in the car forever!

I always thought of “hold on” as a song that started out slow and never went anywhere…

Bet he couldn’t resist “Moby Dick,” though.

I don’t know about Morty, but that song always makes me think of metro trains and Rebecca de Mornay.

There’s a drum solo in “In the Air Tonight”? I guess I always turned it off before then.
