I remember my father saying something similar to me about my 5th grade witch of a teacher. Then he met her. The first thing she did was complain about how stupid I was in math, and pulled out my math papers to demonstrate that I had all the answers wrong. My MATH PROFESSOR father pointed out to her that the answers weren’t wrong. Teacher countered with “But she doesn’t do them the right way”! I was moved to another 5th grade class shortly after that and proceeded to make straight A’s the rest of the year.
Well FishStix, looks like you did okay, you can read and write very well. Have you seen some of the mistakes made in the postings? You’re okay in my book.
@FISHSTIX==Several months ago you gave a website where I saw the gorgeous motorhome you have to take you to your fishing sites. Must have done something right post your school days.
@ catlady1, I had a teacher like that my senior year in high school. First exam he gave me a “F”, I took the test to the head of the math dept. and asked him to look at it, I had a perfect paper, I just did the math in my head and wrote the answers. I ended up with and “A” in the class.
Thanks for the link, FishStix! I enjoyed reading about your trip through Utah and Oregon. I lived in Utah as a child and now live in Oregon, so I found it very interesting.
I had a teacher in 3rd grade who told my mother I’d never write cursive legibly in my life. I didn’t work on it, but I’ve been told I write beautifully.

And a Miss is a miss out? Not what to teach a kid, male or female. And maybe she really is that bad… or a walnut.

Is it just me or is Elly’s comment about being a Mrs and being loved, kinda wrong? If a man were to say that, he’d be accused of being sexist.

Walnuts don’t like me - mild allergies.

I’m sure someone loved her enough to marry her (it sure wasn’t for money if she is a teacher). But 30 years of teaching the rugrats had to change her.
I am sure it couldn’t be Michael that is mistaken! (LOL)
