1 – You won’t be around for your evaluation.

2 – Dude, you are borderline. We’ll be watching you.

3 – Satisfactory. You get the 3% (=cost of living) increase.

4 – Wow, you sure showed up your co-workers, 4 %

5 – We love the patent(s) you filed for the company. Enjoy this plaque.

I’ve even seen some educational constitutions of higher learning that use P/NP = Pass/NoPass. They claimed that the word/grade Fail was to traumatic for students.

Most elementary schools already use a 1-4 grading system for report cards. Others may have O (outstanding) S (satisfactory) N (needs improvement) for grades.

The flaw I saw if he did that, then it may be that he would be the only person able to get a C through F! Because giving him that wouldn’t infringe copyright And everyone else would get A or B.

Someone once said that nobody can make you feel bad without your permission, which is one of those crocks that look and sound great but hold up to very little in the way of real-world testing. The bullies all too frequently find a way.

Better to put it in writing, get it notarized, and be able to sue the bastards.
