If you knew more about our Number Six l’m sure you would not be so judgemental. Check out his work in Edward Fordham’s book ‘lt Means What lt Says’ available at Amazon.
In the meantime l’m going to resist typing the words;
“Good King Capp looked down at his feet and he saw that they were wet. ‘Oh dear’, he said, ‘I fear’, he said, ’We’re leaving tracks on the pier’, Forsooth our feet are very wet’. Squelch, squelch, squelch, squelch, squelch, squelch, squelch, squelch, SQUELCH!” — with apologies to P.D.Q. Bach. Add your own kazoo…
Of course, canals ARE an upgrade from where drunks usually end up: the gutters!(Thanks once again to Eldo and FAN O’ LIO for the MUCH better comics, whether by Smythe himself or a worthy successor. The current “creative” team is not worthy, which is why so many of us read it mostly for the nostalgia of seeing a beloved character even if not in beloved gags.)
We had a meeting today and due to lack of funding, we are all being made redundant. My leaving date will be 15th March. There will be more details to come next week. My contract was due to end in June with the possibly of it being extended again depending on funding.
Well, I’m back to square one and will officially be unemployed from 15th March. I’m glad I wasn’t positive about it. It’s never a good idea to be positive about something which you are uncertain of. I’m getting support from my colleagues in finding a new job for which I am extremely grateful. One of them has even given my CV a makeover. It looks better than how I had it.
But don’t worry, I’m fine. I had a bit of a cry but I’m feeling better now. It’s a shock for us all.

How come the city never builds railings and barricades to prevent people such as Andy from falling in?

@LUCY VAN PELT
A much simpler way to do italics and bold is outlined by ELDO in his earlier reply to BIATHLONNUT. Thanks Eldo :o).

Did the “Town Tour” sign really need to be there?
You can tell he’s a tour guide by the uniform and what he said.

@ELDO A little useless information:
Both of these do exactly the same job but the second one is a bit shorter.

Lucky for Andy that there aren’t any piranhas in the canal. By the way, the classics are great. Thank you, Eldo, and Fanolio. :)
