Potholes are one thing, but where I live. we have pot-craters.

Not that our potholes are especially grand, but the road crews recently just barely avoided paving over a smart car.

Here in SoCal we have more potheads than potholes, so I guess we’re 180° out of phase.

Pot holes are a great example of infrastructure maintenance finally catching up with our insatiable demand for more access and services. Rotting water and sewer pipes are another. Not sure what the solution is, but DON’T YOU DARE RAISE MY TAXES…

I just learned yesterday about fissures opening up in Cusco, Peru, where I’d been in January. No fatalities, but a lot of lost houses.

When they fill potholes here on Oahu, they don’t bother to flatten them out. So we have potholes and bumps.

Some potholes are portals to hell! Beware—it’s an “epic” ride!

With the comic set in Michigan, having personally experienced Michigan road “maintenance,” and with the weather we’ve had here in Ohio being milder than Michigan this year but still leading to some axle-rattling potholes here…Yeah, Caulfield can look forward to quite the pothole season.

I’ve noticed that here in New Westminster the most genteel neighborhoods have the most godawful bumpy streets. I suspect they pay extra in taxes to prevent the paving crews making their streets traffic-friendly!
