Poor John. I wonder how this came about.

There is no easy way.

Loosing someone leaves a hole in you that will never go away, so saying goodbye huts, and it will every time.

Wow. I was hoping there would not be tragedy. [sigh]

So I’m guessing this is what happened to AJ’s birth mother. Death by childbirth shouldn’t happen in this modern age of medicine. What was this woman’s relationship with John? Will we learn more about her? At least we know it turns out to have a happily ever after.

Yes, I too was thinking it was through childbirth… but potentially it could be something else as well (perhaps a vehicular accident). But like you suggest, it will be very interesting as we learn of her relationship with John.

This comic strip almost made me cry. I think we are going to find out that John is not AJ’s father but her mom, the woman in the bed, left the custody of AJ to him

I just had a thought.. What if John is not the Biological father? What if this woman is a close friend of his, and she selected John to take custody of her child in the event of her death, and because of what he just said here, hes more than willing to raise her child as his own because of what she did for him?!

How did she die? Of childbirth? Or cancer or what? That’s where I’m confused.
