The Ramona Lisa? Where’s Beezus?

“Ramona Lisa” that’s a hoot.

So, not only is Sally apparently enjoying this field trip, she knows a bit about art, too!

Only her good friends called her Mona…

On day I will see Ramona Lisa too.

Ramona Lisa was a character in a “Gasoline Alley” arc. She was the girlfriend of a conman who pretended to be a preacher.

“Try not to have a good time…” Says who?

Just this past week there was a photo accompanying a story about visits to art museums in the age of Instagram. A very large group of people were standing in front of the Ramona Lisa, all of them taking selfies, the record of an experience now substituting for the experience itself. Sigh!

Ramona, Ramona, let down your hair. Oops, wrong museum.

That was kind of tangled, F-Flash……..

One of my favorite cartoons was an old Mad Magazine one set in an art museum. The tour guide explains that they are badly behind schedule, and will have to do the museum quickly. So they all start running down the halls, past all the paintings, and the tour guide warns them, “Remember, no looking!”

That dark haired girl must be a witch since she’s use to seeing pictures that move (like in the Harry Potter novels.)

Don’t worry, Sally. Someday you’ll be paying good money to go to school.

Education isn’t that fun for me, either.

I went to an art museum with Mama when I was very young. I asked her why there were so many pictures and sculptures with naked people and she was too embarrassed to answer.
