Fearless Puck stands first watch after producing a diagram. It’s amazing how quickly he can make those. Elvis is also ready to defend the new tower. Lupin snoozes – booping and swiping is exhausting.
Our cat will hide in the second level — much like Lupin did — and wait for the dog to walk by… and then she’ll attack his nose. When we first got her, she was terrified of him (he is several times her size, after all, and his bark is very loud and piercing). Now, she’s figured out that he’s a harmless old man (in dog years, he is fast approaching 100), and would never harm a little girl like her.
Awww, that tower looks like what my sweet boy Whiskers used to love! He would run and take a flying leap on top of it which would make the tower topple over. I wound up placing a 10-pound weight in the bottom to keep it from falling over.
I could pick up one of those towers cheap, and if I put it on the patio, the ferals would love it. But I’d get exactly zero recognition for being the one who put it there. (Don’t get me wrong; they give me credit for things I didn’t do if they don’t like them. Like when it rains.)
My living room tower arrived in a box, guess what the boys were doing while I assembled the new arrival ;)
Of course now they spend lots of time on the tower because theirs is tall enough to have a neighbourhood surveillance level. The barracks is not used much as it is not impossibly small enough :)
Now Elvis just needs to quietly and gently hop down, avoiding waking Lupin, and – taking a running start – leap back into the top section like he did in panel 7.
I had a Mother Dog as a Foster and Lady Shadow (she followed me a lot) give birth to 7 healthy and happy puppies. ^looked alike and the 7th the runt and smallest was about half her siblings size, perfectly healthy but small with small legs too. She was always last in the pack when they ran. THEN she discovered CAT TOWERS. She learned how to jump/climb/scramble in there. She would wait for her Siblings to run by, and she would pop out and bod them. When they were ready for new homes Bear (as I was calling her, and her new family kept that name) went first. They had cats and the 3 kids also wanted a dog so Bear was perfect. I asked if they had any cat towers and told them that Bear liked them to, and would get on them. The Parents laughed but the kids were thrilled. Bear when home to her Forever Home that night. I called a couple of days later to see how everything was going. I always do that. And I was told that Bear was settling in fine, the cats loved her and they would groom each other. Then I asked how quickly Bear found the cat tree and got in it and the Dad laughed and said it took her about 30 min. All puppies and Lady Shadow were adopted into Forever Homes.

Good morning and a happy Sunday (Bunday) to the Mega Orb, all orbsters and orbabies. We threw a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law yesterday (we did it at my brother-in-law’s), and a good time was had by all.
It would seem to me that Elvis and Lupin have some pent up feistiness from not being able to finish their wrestling match yesterday. Either that or they are always feisty. LOL Puck wisely stays out of such shenanigans.
I have a few cat trees but the 7’ multi-layer is the favorite by far. When my 4 get tired of the 7’ tree I have learned to change its position in the room and it becomes new again. I do try to make sure that most of the openings still face toward the bay window though. Nothing like a view when trying to nap or throw another kitty off the tree.
Well, I looked at Gocomics on the Kindle, and no tab. No tab on my desktop nor laptop (my brother builds computers). Now, looking back at the top of this page, I see a set of tabs, and the first one is “Overview”. “Cartoons” is highlighted, and that is what I am looking at. This also were we have the tabs for “About” “Our Reporters” and “Shelter Cat Report”. What this means? I don’t know.
Ha! I, too, laughed out loud at the “nose” panels. So creative, and so cat-like, too. Wonderfully done, Georgia, and thanks for the best laugh a comic has given me in recent memory.

Lupin is such a silly boy. But remember – a boop means a scoop.

love watching the boys on their new tower acting like kitties, jumping and swiping and taunting and dozing.

Yay, another Pucky chart!
Yes, the tower is ideal for weapon sharpening. What a perfect way to put it!

In the last three panels, I love the way Lupin is clutching Elvis’s “nose” in his little paw

Back when I had cats, my dad built a beautiful 5’ carpeted tower with perches for them. They loved it.

The tower is the main territory of the Red Dot! And the flag just proves that!
(Also, now that I think of it, is the Red Dot predator, prey, or both to the cats?)
