I used to think that way, but with a text, I can send messages that don’t need to be answered right away and the person on the other end isn’t bothered with the annoying ringing phone. This works especially well for people who work and shouldn’t take non-work phone calls or people who are on a different sleep schedule (like my daughter who works nights). I use whatever form of communications works best for BOTH parties – which is why I have grown to like having options.
