For years I wanted to grow a beard, but could not due to safety reasons. ( I did a lot of work in chemical plants and refineries.) Now I have a job that I can grow a beard. The problem is that I resemble an old Harrison Ford in that it is gray to white and makes me look lie a dirty old, stalking old man.

I find Hubby’s beard handy when I want to pull him in close for a kiss.

I’m from Minnesota. Would I be considered a “good Yank”?

I shaved mine off about a month ago. I was told I look 18 years younger so I won’t be growing another.

I could pull off yellow hair, too, Betty. Just give it a good yank.

It really, really wouldn’t. Hair, collectively, is surprisingly strong.

I didn’t “grow” a beard, I just stopped fighting it.In boot camp (1966) I had to shave twice a day. I couldn’t wait until I could stop.
