Many site designers think that forcing you to use uppercase, lower case, numbers and symbols makes a good password. All that does is makes a password you can’t remember. It doesn’t matter what is in a password; length is the key. The longer the better – mine are usually over 15 characters in length and I have one that is 23 characters long. They are impossible to guess, easy to remember, but difficult to type.
There are also password managers that can remember your passwords for you. LastPass is one such program.
At work they make us change our password every 3 months. Needless to say, no one spends much time making a good one. Mine usually is 12345678, then 23456789 etc. You can see I am really worried about my company’s security. If someone is crazy enough to want to work on my computer, please be my guest.

Don’t think password. Think pass phrase.

Problem is, that’s what happens every time I want a particular pw. They all flash by.

I get it – your new password is “LifeAlert.”
