Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for April 29, 2018

I love Phoebe’s “Nuh uh” reaction in the second panel. Because normally I’d expect her to say “Really?” or “Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s because…” or “I thought it was…”

But she just calmly shoots down Marigold’s claim in two words upon hearing it.

Semi-conversely, there was a joke in a Monsters Inc. comic book about monsters smelling like flowers when they get sweaty. That’s why they put on odorant.

Oh sure. Love to here Marigold’s explanation for a rainbow.

This is a better story than the scientific explanation.

Unicorns are amazing. Even their stink lines smell good.

Unique orns sure cause a lot of interesting phenomenons

Petrichor: a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather: other than the petrichor emanating from the rapidly drying grass, there was not a trace of evidence that it had rained at all.

“Unicorns” is a good, all-purpose answer to any question about why a thing is good.

“Unistink!~”

There’s a word for the smell of rain on dry soil—petrichor.

I"ll bet her wonderful smell drove all the unicorn stallions wild! :)
