Sam is still holding his drink. Is he finally going to sip it, or has it been contributing to his version.

Well, at least he learned the most important fact about her straight off! ;p

It’s a good thing this is only a flashback, back then I would have told Sedine she’s too good for him! Seriously, Sam is just being mean, sure Sedine is being a bit stalker-ish, but that doesn’t excuse his behavior.

Such an angry man.

Sedine certainly was … persistent.

Vivacious… The word for today is, euphemism.

This is getting interesting, and I can’t believe how different Sedine looks with a change of hair.

Seems Sam is beginning to get a clue. Recalling his ill-temper at punting sweet lil’ Sedine from his doorway, Sam realizes he wasn’t so wonderful. Music can help mend fences, Sam. Try Irving Berlin’s “They Say It’s Wonderful,” as sung by Johnny Hartman, accompanied by John Coltrane. Trust me on this one.

…. I might have to reflect closer on my own life, now… this kind of delusion might have been part of my history.

After seeing both versions together, I’m starting to think Sam is preferring Sedine’s version better. You can see the guilt in his eyes.

Truth is harsher than fiction.

That is the boy his parents raised? Oh, yeah… Those dolls did wonders for him.

OK, come to think of it, Sedine expressed a wish to go out, and Sam basically complied… ;p

Would that Sam showed such distance on the football field…

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all share our dreams and visions like that?

On second thought I take that back. It would be horrible beyond description, just like one of Aesop’s fables. (Momus and the Gods: “… he criticized man for not having been given a window into his heart so that his neighbor could see what he was planning.”) The implications were so terrifying to the gods it got Momus bounced out of Olympus. He later went on to become the world’s first theater critic, which got him hanged when he panned Aristophanes’ “Lysistrata” as being “too girly.”

This will be a wild ride.
