It’s a lot like walking Snoopy. To get from point (A) to point (B), you take one step at a time. To write a story, you go one letter at a time.
P.S. for those of you who have forgotten how to work a manual typewriter. First make sure that the paper is level, and the platen is adjusted and tight, (but not too tight). And if you are making copies, that you have the correct side of the carbon paper facing you.
I believe many a writer overcame “writer’s block” with the use of acohol. Time to pop the cork off some of those wine bottles in your wine cellar Snoopy!
Hang in there, Snoopy. I can relate. I’ve experienced many a case of writer’s block in my day, but try to just write without worrying how it sounds or looks. Editing can come later.

Other days, there is this thing called “writer’s block” that you just can’t get around.

Nowadays Snoopy would either be using a desktop or laptop PC or maybe even a tablet.

Just keep staring at the blank paper until beads of blood break out on your brow, Snoopy. ;-D

Don’t stare, write. You will get nowhere by doing nothing. That is your first and largest mistake.
