Taking an honest and actually reasonable question by a compassionate (to say the least) interlocutor, turning it into a club with which to attack him, and taking the right to launch a second attack disguised as a question (Ray overcame his issues) while revealing that she sought the information she is unwilling to yield about herself.Run, Ray.

She’s been hurt and is being defensive.

What a way to start a relationship! A person can surely talk about issues that they each have had without attacking each other verbally. They are both so defensive and trying to put the other on the hotspot via the direct questions.

No, but the ugly, dim-witted and stupid ones may have become homeless because the people taking care of them stopped doing so. The one’s who could take care of themselves usually have a story behind why they became homeless. And that is why her response is just defensive and rude.
