Raymond: Malcolm, look--a breakaway in an under-6 match. The keeper is the only obstacle to her scoring, and he doesn't look up to the task. Soccer Dad (out of frame): Go now, Michael! Catch her! Go! Go! Malcolm: Uh...do you see another defender? Soccer Dad: Take it from her! Take it from her! Tackle it hard! Win it, boy! Yeah! That's it! Now take it for a goal! Malcolm: I think some parents need trainers. Soccer Dad: Yes!

Edith needs a spanking.

No.She’s jealous. Another girl is now competing for her father’s attention and love, and she doesn’t know how to handle it.

A spanking? Of course she doesn’t ‘need’ a spanking. Are you serious or was that meant as humor? Dad does, however, need to tune in a bit better to her distress so they can talk a bit.

This is turning out to be an interesting topic. I just came back on here with another thought.
Another factor to consider is that Edith may still be dealing with the loss of her mother. She may be upset that her Dad is ready to move on, while she is not there yet herself. She is well aware that Georgie could replace her mother, and if she hasn’t processed her mother’s loss yet, this could be very painful for her.Seems to me that Dad is the one that needs talking to, before he continues to trample on her feelings.

They both need to sit down and deal with it! In a few years she will be doing the same kinda flirting!
