I was lost if the book I had to report on didn’t have a dust jacket with a basic summery on it. My Mother once brought such a dust jacket to my teacher. Hoist by my own petard.

Read the first sentences of each paragraph – go on – to the end – then stop, and make up your own mind!

Yesterday, Danae was on her way to the magical woods of niceness. Today, she’s back to her usual rude self.

The pages of a book are my walls against the world.

Go get lost, in a book.

Because, unlike the States, public libraries are rare and bookstores rarer, my Tablet and Notepad have become my libraries and bookstores. My Galaxy Tablet is devoted exclusively to my book downloads – new and old, while I use my Acer Notepad to read and store news & magazine articles, and academic papers.

I still miss my extensive library of hardbound and paperback books, that I had in the States but the cost of shipping so many books would have cost me a fortune. I took a few of my very favorite, irreplaceable books with me, sold off a large portion and found good homes for rest.

Funny how Danae claims that she’d never stoop so low as to read, and yet is often obsessed with social media. (Although I have read more than a few books that are much less shallow than what I often come across on social media sites.)

Danae would never stoop to be rude. She jump at every chance to be.

My husband and I read with our dinners every night.

Now imagine of a person like Danae found education to be a form and way of gaining a means to power? Then watch out!

Now she is lying! She stoops to being rude about a hundred times a day! This strip is built on her being rude and selfish!

Danae could be Wendy Gramm’s protege; loopholes are her business, her only business.
