As a retriever of toys from under myriads of heavy items, broomsticks, yardsticks and any and all long sticks are good for reaching assorted playthings.

Our younger cat loves plastic springs. One got tangled up in the grille at the under the fridge. We had to pull the fridge out and tip it sideways whilst the cat was milling around clutching his pearls. The fridge couldn’t decide if it wanted to tip over and crush me, or tip the other way and crush my husband, who was trying to untangle the spring. After that incident, we put a 2×4 at the base of the fridge.
My boys have a pink fuzzy mouse they inherited from my previous good boy. Mom washed it because it was gray. It has lost it’s essence and I am not sure what to do. Catnip spa maybe?

My cats do this all the time. If not under the fridge then under a sofa or something else. I swear they do it on purpose

Don’t tease him, Angie. You know very well that you’re gonna get down in the floor and poke the pink mouse out with the handle on the flyswatter.

A yardstick works wonders at getting things from under the fridge.
