Does Hobbes weigh as much as a real tiger when only Calvin is around?

Darn! I was hoping to see frame five from yesterday.

I wonder if this is Hobbes’ fault too?

If Calvin were still around he would probably reply something like, “Time to lay off the Twinkies, Dad!”

But if Dad falls off, he won’t get hurt.

If hammocks could talk….

I’m thinking the hammock was transmogrified into a trampoline once or twice.

My dad had a solid cloth hammock on a metal frame. It made the best pirate sail when upright. My dad could never figure out why the frame bent.

so, if Hobbs is just a manifestation of Calvin’s imagination, why is there real damage done by his weight?

An imaginary tiger is heavy as a mountain, a stuffed doll is light as a feather.

Is Hobbs a Siberian or Bengal Tiger? A Siberian can weigh 800 lbs and a Bengal about 500 lbs. Calvin probably weight 50 lbs, it’s amazing what a difference 50 lbs can make.

I wonder why….
