You gotta love Hobbes in stalking mode.
I just love Calvin and Hobbes. This one tells such an evocative story without needing any dialog at all until the final panel, and that dialog perfectly expresses the mental state of both of them as a result of the actions in the previous panels.
Love how apart from his paws only his whiskers are visible in the first panel …
Did Hobbs include the famous kitty butt wiggle before pouncing?

Hobbes mustn’t have gotten enough air. Prior pounces like this have knocked Calvin’s shoes and socks off.
