This time of year in Maine the water temp is around 59F, so running into the water can cause uncontrolled gasping

Water temp here in south east Wisconsin is around 65, but may have gone up the last couple of days since we have had such a heat wave. Still will not go into the lake. Unless it is at least 75 degrees, that water is just too cold for me.

Grannie’s logic makes no sense to me, but beaches aren’t my thing.

In Southern California, the beach H2O is just right.
