A titch sarcastic, I would suspect……if not by Earle, than must be by his wife. Since she never appears demonstrative towards him, ……must be her comments are meant to sting him….

Sounds like Trump. At least Earl hasn’t discovered Twitter yet.

It’s really that, the older you get (if you’re not a silly old rambling crank), the more you realize that there’s just hardly anything worth saying.
