As for Michael’s complaint, carnival fun houses aren’t supposed to be scary. They’re supposed to be fun. Haunted houses are supposed to be scary.

A scary fun house? Sounds like false advertising, if so.

Many kids (especially boys, though some girls too) think it’s fun to be scared. I never felt like that when I was a boy.

Michael is a victim of too much exposure to what passes for modern horror comedy and too much tv time

My youngest brother is 14 years younger than I. I recall Psycho being such a scary movie when I first saw it, and I showed it to my brother when he was a young teen. His reaction to the shower scene? “That’s supposed to be scary? You didn’t see the knife go in her once!”

Just turn on the TV and check out the new reality show, “Dr. Pimple Popper”. Guaranteed to gross you out big time!

I bought a ticket to a haunted house. I was disappointed. All it was was walking in a dark passage with a lot of turns, with people in rubber monster masks growling when someone came by.

The movies that scare me are the realistic war movies like Saving Private Ryan or the HBO series “The Pacific”. Real people really experienced those horrors!

We.. have all become jaded with the abundance of technology.. food.. clothes.. sex.. Nothing excites anymore

If all the rides there were “from the 70s”, he’s already been “back in time”. Those ARE the tickets they’re selling.
