From what Allice learned from Petey, now it makes me wonder how many bugs Andrew Zimmern has eaten in his TV career on the Travel Channel show “Bizarre Foods.”
Actually I could believe a pound over a lifetime. I’ve had well washed, homegrown salad greens and berries that had a beetle or worm appear on them at the dinner table. Makes me wonder about the ones we did not see.
Petey’s picky eater ranking probably isn’t affected by bugs that he eats accidentally, if he takes reasonable precautions against accidents. Still, it’s not the kind of subject that I’d expect him to dwell on.
I saw a meme recently with an excited little dog. He had two word balloons. One had a picture of a fly labelled “regular sky raisin” and the other was a bee with the caption “jalapeno sky raisin”.
In our family, the saying was, “You eat a peck of dirt in your lifetime.” (Peck being a unit of volume.) This was primarily said to two small girls complaining about dirt in their sandwiches at picnics.
Heard a radio ad the other day stating; “You know you’re from New England if you can enjoy a lobster salad roll and not even care that you’re eating a giant boiled bug sandwich.”

I think a pound is probably a little low, if count the ones unseen (microscopic, etc.)!

Synch with Lio today (he swallows a fly, but now can buzz around in the air like one).

Fake news. That means it would take 3,000 people to eat just one Volkswagen.

I love it that the kids accept Petey’s pronouncement as fact.

Alice, Beni, and Dill. They’re like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Observation of nature. Seeking explanations for phenomena….
