I take it that that little box at her doorstep contains the drug that will "put her to sleep’. I hope others intervene before she takes it!

One pill makes you Larder, and one pill makes you smoked hocks and the ones the cabal gives you will curl your socks!

Velda’s waiting inside…….for this to work Portia has got to take the pill or something given her by Velda. The butcher is not the one coming to pick her up. They’re just delivery boys. Velda will have to trail them to the location of the butcher. Indeed a dangerous game.

Poppers… Poppers will make her sleep!

Maybe, Portia is running her own sting and will only pretend to want to get eaten.

Thought just struck me. Wouldn’t the mail service know something about all those tiny boxes being delivered to places? Wouldn’t someone remember who gave them the boxes? Especially as they would know everyone on their route and notice that the ones who got the boxes are the ones who disappeared? Or am I over simplifying things?

Unless the Postman is the Butcher.

I love the way everyone (including me) tries to second guess Mr. Neathery and predict what will happen in Endtown. But who could predict that Walt would end up drunk in an alleyway just when he’s needed to rescue Portia? It could be entirely possible that there is no happy ending to this story and both Walt and Portia will end up dead. But what do I know!

But wait, this couldn’t be from the pig eaters because we hung Foxworthy to end all that. Right? Oh dear…. ;-)

So, the “scratch” code means the victim will do it. The “Harvesters” send the knockout juice. The call Portia got must have been from Jacob, telling Portia that it was coming. But for the sting to work, Portia will hav to drink the drug to get knocked out, and trust that she’d be saved. That’s a lot of trust. Not to mention her shock on finding out that it’s still going on.
