German Shedders can outdo a Labby. Huskies can outdo both. And when a Shiba sheds – twice a year… it floats around the house and there is no stopping it from getting in everything in the house.

At least the other dogs have the decency to have fur that drops to the ground.

With my yellow lab, most days you’ll find little tumble weeds of fur rolling across the kitchen floor.

Only on days that end in a “y.”

We have a King Shepherd. They were a cross between a German Shepherd and a Newfoundland. Same basic shape as a German Shepherd but with much longer hair. Look them up. My female is 105# and her shedding is ungodly.

My Labs shedding isn’t nearly as bad as my Beagle/Collie mix.

I’ve heard that German Shepherds have two shedding seasons. Jan – Jun, and July – Dec. I had a lab /GSD mix as a child. Yes, fur was everywhere.

My lab sheds all the time. He is 6 years old and growls at you when you approach him with a brush. We try to brush him while giving treats. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. In the meantime, lots of tumbleweeds. (We have 3 cats, as well)

My standard poodle didn’t shed much, but when he gave me the “I need a haircut, now” look his hair could fill a standard grocery bag.

Northern breeds like Siberian Huskies, and Alaskan Malamutes no one else comes close.

Ah the good old classic Overboard setup that we don’t see that much anymore — where it starts off with the punchline (and you’re like “what?”) and then proceeds to show what led up to it (and so you go “oh i see! ha!”).

My golden mix sheds like that as well. I get so much hair out of her it’s a wonder she isn’t bald.

Labs don’t live long enough, but no leap year if the year is divisible by 100 unless it is also divisible by 400, hence 2000 was a leap year!
