Although I was a little boy, I still remember and miss JFK. Most people today are unable to understand just how far down the office of the President has descended.
I have to admit that I was wrong about the conman-in-chief. I thought he was too stupid and incompetent to get elected. Then when he did I thought that would keep him from doing a good job. Boy, was I wrong! Turns out he is very effective at doing Putin’s bidding.

I generally loathe and despise everything our current president stands for, but in principle we need to keep these lines of communication open. “Silence is death” has meaning in more than one context.
