Exactly what is so great about this summer? The president is now essentially an unindicted co-conspirator & the Republicans in Congress won’t do a damned thing about it.
Seems like every comic has to have an incident that is left unexplained. Calvin has his noodle incident and my guess is there are probably a few more out in comic land that has them too.
I swear I remember a reference to “The Incident” and Denae hoping the sewer wouldn’t explode again just within the last year. So maybe we are reliving this theme.
Although he only refers to the “Incident” without any expansion, somehow I think it involved the complete collapse of Space and Time due to a paradox situation. It was only able to be partially restored by the Men In Black. That’s why everything is so messed up now since they only had knowledge of the basics.
I guess it was self-preservation that kept Jeffery in the last panel from reminding Danae that doing the same thing over and expecting a different result is a definition of insanity…
Some years ago, a sewer in Guadalajara did explode. It seems a pipeline had been leaking gasoline into the sewer for some time. Then something ignited it, and the whole neighborhood went kaboom.

what’s “The Incident” that they’re referring to, and why does it involve an exploding sewer?

The definition of insanity is the repetition of the same action with the expectation of a different outcome.

Endless summer. Pick up your surfboards. Good name for a movie. Wait, I think they already did that.

Except if she sent present self back to the beginning of summer, there would be two of her, which I don’t think the universe can stand.

This sounds like the “Endless Eight” storyline from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
