No, Lila did not “make Lorraine cry”. Lila made a statement, and Lorraine chose to respond to it in an emotional manner. Not the same thing at all. Bottom line is, Lorraine chose (on some level) to cry, and Lila did not force her to do anything. Case dismissed.
Lorraine is going to need a little backbone if she is going to be a supervisor. For all anyone might have known, the question “How do you get that unique scarecrow look with your hair” could have been the start of a new look, like the “Rachel”
Lila should file a counter claim for hostile workplace environment (1) cameras at each work station; (2) mandated to stay in or dissuaded to leave the building for lunch without full compensation.
