It is full of scary vegetables. And TLC.

It’s probably hot chicken soup, Heart. Just drink it, take some vitamin C, preferably in strawberry or paprika, and you’ll be right as rain. You could also put some thyme and salt in hot water and breathe the vapors.

The mold count is high and ragweed is in bloom. Most summer colds are allergies.

Given Mrs. Angelini’s age, I’d guess it’s a mixture of turpentine, caster oil, chicken soup, pickle juice, and lemon oil, suspended in raw egg whites.

No one makes scarier concoctions than Caribean ppl. My mom and aunties had cures for EVERYTHING. And you know what, they worked!! I guess we had mucho faith. Drink up Heart <3

My Mom made us onion soup. It was supposed to sweat the cold out of you — especially in midsummer!

A cold in the summer? Are you sure it’s not your sinuses acting up?

Be careful Heart, it’s full of ingredients.

In a related comment, my grandmother used to put out leftovers and say “If you don’t eat it, I am just going to throw it away!” Now, if you ever tasted my grandmother’s cooking, or even if you haven’t, that isn’t a very reassuring statement.

How about this for motivation: drink it or spend the rest of summer in bed until the first day of school?
