First Hobbes remembered food (for himself), now he “remembers” the camera?

Camera? If I were you, I’d worry more about being on a barren planet with a tiger that has nothing to eat.

Why do i have this feeling that Susie might show up on Mars?

Camera? We don’t need no steenkin’ camera.

You know, it’s hilarious that people are pointing out how neither of them should be able to breathe on Mars…while ignoring the giant talking tiger that’s represented as a stuffed toy whenever other people are shown.

Hobbes has gone from older sibling to mother-in-law in one frame.

Even though there might be some scientific inaccuracies and this is actually an old comic, it’s still feels kind of historic.

So much for “better late than never”.

In the last frame; they sound like a married couple.

Now no one will believe that Calvin went to Mars.

They forgot food. Calvin may have to grow potatoes.

And how would Calvin have been able to turn around in space, Hobbes?

I thought they were moving there to get away from Earth. Just as there is no crying in baseball, there are no photo developers on Mars.

It was a bit of a rough landing, glad the wagon is still in one piece.

Oh no! If he doesn’t post a photo of himself planting an American flag he’ll be severely criticized.

I need to get myself one of these amazing wagons !

If they need food, they should just keep going until they reach the restaurant at the end of the universe…

I know the idea of a kid with an imagination so active it basically becomes a sort of controlled delusion is really common (and was even more-so in the late 80’s-early90’s when this comic originally ran) but I can’t help but think of other shows like…Rugrats for an example…where every now and then they’d show an outside perspective of what was actually happening, and I’d like to see where Calvin ACTUALLY is that he thinks he’s on Mars.

If only it was this easy…
