The king is dead (or wet, anyway). Long live the new king!

I like that thr red Vespa trails red air behind it, while the turquoise Vespa trails turquoise air.

As Lauren said, this is a stupid game. But hey, a Mod’s gotta do what a Mod’s gotta do.

Traditionally the Mods were ruled by the king with the best hair, but now it appears they will be ruled by the king who is the stupidest. (It looks like he is smart enough to wear a helmet, but I think that is an illusion – he only thinks it’s stylin’ to wear a helmet like the racers do.)

Will the Mods accept the challenger as their new king? When the old king emerges from the canal his hair will be a mess, but if the challenger takes off his helmet his hair will not be impressive either. If the Mods are unimpressed will a new challenger come forward? Apparently there are other possible challenges in the book (see two days ago).
