I feel her pain. When I started grade school I had a pronounced lisp. Some of the kids would bully me. It took years and a dedicated school speech therapist to help me. Sometimes when I am excited it comes back.
Although not the same thing, I transferred to an American school after living in the north end of Yorkshire. But after I shared a Yorkshire kiss with some of the bullies their attitudes changed. ( that’s a head butt for my fellow Yanks.)
