CEOs might get by on their extremely bloated salaries, but the greedy jerks always want more money for themselves. They always find a way to get a raise for themselves while their workers have to get by with two incomes.
“Getting by” is not the point of working. One should expect to be able to move forward in life by working, not just tread water. Or slowly sink as inflation eats your paycheck.
