Sounds like a nice idea, but the Republicans apparently think that “Reagan’s 11th Commandment” is an actual commandment. How can you vote for a member of a party that’s made “Party Above Country” an actual principle?
We have had Republican Presidents who people literally disagree with on every issue and will still vote for them. This American Life ran an interview on a doctor, who when asked completely and utterly disagreed with Bush on literally every issue, but admitted he would vote for him. Why? He didn’t know.
Conservative Republicans above all else country, family, humanity, principles, earth will only vote with their party. So Carmen standing there mouthing vote for the person is absolutely the last thing she would say. Look at what Dump has done to the evangelicals.
I don’t follow “Party Politics.” Instead, I review platforms, and statements made by all the candidates, then vote for the candidates that fit closest to my ideals. Unfortunately, there are candidates that say one thing to get into office, then do the opposite oonce they get in.
American politics are very much like sporting events. The losers of a contest are not killed (so far at least), their team just shuffles off the field, but competes again next season. In ancient Rome the chariot races extended over hundreds of years and featured four teams: blue, green, red, and white. Over those hundreds of years, which color won the most races? You don’t know, do you, despite centuries of results, and it don’t make a d—n bit o’ difference, does it? Same for our politics.
Stantis seems to keep projecting totally random things onto liberals, via Winslow, that simply do not reflect anything resembling the conversations that we are actually having among ourselves.
Use your common sense. My politics lean conservative, however if someone from the other side of the aisle has a program that make sense (like President Obama’s mentorship program) I’ll support it.
