Dr Susan has 18-20 of her own, then add in all of the foster babies. It’s a 7/24 job. And if anyone is wondering about the size of her house…that would be two large homes. One in CA and one here. The one here also has the cattery that used to be the hangar for her plane (which she sold) and a brand new outdoor catio that connects to the hangar. Both are all enclosed and cat safe. The hangar cattery has an enclosed runway that leads from the house to a ramp that runs 3/4 way around the hangar, a full bathroom upstairs and downstairs for litter boxes and and other needs. The house in CA isn’t as large but most rooms have been converted to cat areas. She’s never been married or had kids and these kitties are her babies.
Ten cats? Amateur. Including our fosters, we’re at just over double that. Nearly all were on the streets at one time or another, and for as little as a few weeks when they were kittens to as much as at least 5 or 6 years.

Hooray!! Interesting that Chesney has that arrogant look, while the rest just pose nice for their cover shot…

I had 8 kitties at one time. Now I’m down to 1, but am open to expanding my population.

I love this! It would make a great poster don’t you think?

There are five Boston kittens. I think that’s a good number. It’s a big house so they can have some space.

Speaking a human with 5 cats (all foundlings or shelters) you don’t have them. They have you.

Cats are like potato chips. You can’t have just one.

I would have 10, heck I wish I could have even one. But I have cat hating dog right now. He hates other dogs too but that’s another story……

At one time I had fifteen furry-purrers, only have one now. Misty is a ‘single feline occupier’ so I can’t have any more at the moment.

I had 14 at one time, 6 of those were from a pregnant stray who showed up in my yard. Sigh, sweet Momma Kitty lived to be 23!

Earlier today I saw an ad for a shirt that says “One cat away from being a crazy cat lady”.
