I once had an exercise in a high-school English class to write my own obituary. Eschewing the easy route (“died horribly in a car crash after junior prom”), I actually spent some time thinking about what kind of mark I’d like to leave on the world. So far, at age 74, I’ve managed to do about a quarter of what youthful, naive me envisioned. Still time, tho. I continue to be on track to be the world’s oldest living human.
seems to be more of a wish list parents would want an eight year old to write, not what a real eight year wants to do. mostchildren at that age are egocentric.

His wish: Not having to clean up after it every day.
His Gonna-Do: You guessed it

Aren’t they called New Year’s resolutions? Only time will tell whether they get kept any better than the ones made on 1 January.

All three are good choices and within reasonable reach. A nice balance, if limited to their ages and abilities this year.

I don’t want to brag, but I think with this episode I’ve almost reached the exclamation point quota for an old Rex Morgan MD strip.
