Cool devices that came along too late in my life. My eyes drive me crazy trying to focus on that small screen. I have a flip phone for emergencies, a Garmin for navigation, and a tablet to use when traveling; none of them is constantly turned on. I wish I had better eyes for close-up work.
wife leaves her’s on silent, plays Solitaire when we drive. Mine’s more PDA with a phone attached. Ripped Twitter out, couldn’t stand the constant interruptions. We have a good emergency alert system and phone is good for that.
I live in San Diego, I regularly see poor, demented souls walking along the beach with their eyes glued to a phone. Why did you come here if you were going to do that!??
Got a very basic cell phone so I could call home in an emergency. Had the same one for years—no internet connection, can text but it takes so long I usually don’t bother. The computer is for internet and research—where I’m sitting down safely and not likely to walk into a tree!

I have a cell phone. I look at it only when calling or answering. Rarely (once a week or less) to look up something on the internet

I guess it’s just me, but there is no one I want to talk to 24/7. Just comfortable with my self I guess.

John and Scott, you are voices crying in the wilderness. Only us old hivernants can hear you.

They’re called ‘Cell’ phones for a reason – they keep you prisoner
