Reminds me of the story Oliver North said about when he was testifyiing before Congress…On the first day of the hearings, his attorney Brendan Sullivan got a note from a colleague saying that it was possible to read his lips and understand what he was telling North, so for the rest of the hearings, whenever Sullivan would consult North, he would cover his mouth as well as the mike so that no one could tell what he was telling North.
I’ve been around long enough to notice changes in English from pronouncement to switches in parts of speech. I can recall when ‘impact’ was a noun. About 30 years ago it started sliding into being a verb, too. The way most people now pronounce ‘formidable’ is one I can’t seem to wrap my tongue around. I’m still putting the stress on the second syllable.

I think today’s comic should be on the Editorial Cartoons. Well, we are talking about a certain hearing going on, aren’t we?

We need to re-legalize plenty to stop rampant corruption and violence.

With the state politics these days, this has to be a word.
