Politically speaking, I’m a Libertarian – I believe in just enough government to forestall anarchy. And the thought of some over-arching, over-reaching international governmental body trying to tell me how to live my life here in the good ol’ US of A turns my stomach and raises my hackles! BUT, even I gotta admit that whale hunting seems archaic and a bit barbaric. I’m pro-gun, pro-hunting and in no way a vegan (ick) but I’m with Satch on this one, too.

Satchel’s comment seemed like it was edited from the original since recently, Japan had tried to overturn the international ban on whaling. But I checked and there was no edits. Satchel’s comment would be a bit late anyway since a decision was made, and Japan was thankfully denied.

I’m really not sure what to think. At first I said “Weeelll, if I kept on reading a comic strip obnoxious enough to preach to me, I’d belong in idiots anonymous too,” but…that was so over-the-top obnoxious that it may even be righteously mocking cartoonists who use their medium to educate the mindless masses of readers. …Hopefully.
