Interesting. Pretty sure that’s the note Portia left Walt that sent him over the edge, yet it was sitting on the table where he left it. Where are the police? Wouldn’t they be on the scene before Dottie arrived?
Chief Grout needs to do a better job. The Rats at least would have burned the place down. The test is this……does she use whatever is on the note? Or just let it go?
This is the note that sent Walt to meet the Pork Conspiracy folks. It caused Walt to show up exactly where Portia was mortally wounded, and where Denise still was. What does it say?
The object on the table is a bit of packaging, plus the string that was around the package.
Remember that Doc figured that the contents of a vial found in a box were chloroform or something similar. You don’t swallow chloroform, you breathe it. All the mystery stories have people being chloroformed by a cloth held over the mouth and nose. And remember that Doc asserted that victims were taken from their homes while still alive. And Portia heard that. So she could be prepared. As we found out when we learned she had used the zip gun on the vial villain.

Well, now… I almost forgot about the note. I can’t wait to see how Dottie uses it in her obit to Walt… and how certain people will react to reading it.
I’m hoping we find out exactly what that note says. I was a little surprised that when Dottie arrived the apartment was exactly as it was when Walt stormed out, but that indicates not much time has elapsed after his death. The day after, maybe? The apartment hasn’t been cleaned/repaired and assigned a new occupant yet. Not sure if the police are going to bother with an investigation since both of the former occupants are now deceased.
that door looks like an outside opening door because if it was a normal inside opening the jamb would have been busted out and that would have taken a lot of strength
Dottie certainly looks shocked. I wonder if the letter says what’s going on is that the cannibalism was a mutual agreement. To eat you agree to become meat.
The truth about the Pork Conspiracy just slipped through Jake’s clenched fingers and into the hands of the media. The problem is that the hands belong to the disgraced wolf apologist, who now knows they really were just the fall guys. Will anyone believe her? ;-)
The picture from July and the one today are like xeroxs of the same picture. Walt must have been able to read the note without disturbing the scene. Either that or Walt was a member of the Pork Conspiracy and knew what it meant. He was a carnivore after all, and might have had an agreement that Portia was off limits.
Dolly knew Denise, and they weren’t frenemies. Wonder how she’d react to learning Denise was the butcher, if that news hasn’t been made public already…
Well, there is the whole question of how victims were transported from their homes to the butcheries. If they inhaled the “chloroform” at home, there would be a narrow window of opportunity to get the still living person out of their home. And that is something that would likely be noticed. So I think that unlikely.
So I am going to go with the idea that the note tells the victims to go to the butcheries and then use the “chloroform.” The victim could then quickly be moved inside. Or they may have had the victim step inside first. (I don’t particularly like that option because the gruesomeness of the butchery would likely cause some to attempt to flee, creating a ruckus.)
This would have allowed Portia to write where she was going and for her to have the zip gun. And maybe something flammable in the vial together with a match. (Remember there was a fire.)

Oooh! The note!

I sense Dottie’s going to be conflicted by the no editorializing command.
But maybe we will find out what the note says.

Walt was furious enough to smash the door open, but composed enough to put the note back under the bottle. He was a complicated man.

What is that on the table? Somebody observed this earlier, and I had my doubts at the time, but it really does look like it may be a fishing lure.

Hopefully now we’ll FINALLY find out what was on Portia’s note.

Dottie, Dottie, the news reporter.
Found a note right before her.
“Do I, don’t I?”, long she thought.
Remembering the chaos she’d last wrought.
What’s worse, the mental or physical torture?

I’m sick of this note being seen, but too far away for us to read. Probably won’t know its contents until the end of the week. ☺
