Boycott Wendy’s. It’s the only fast food chain refusing to pay 1¢ per pound more for tomatoes, so the pickers can make a livable wage.

I never looked at it this way. We’re always talking about cruelty to animals on farms, but what about the workers picking the fruits and veggies? Food for thought – thanks Lalo!

Any alternative to working people making a living by harvesting millions of tons of food? Of course farming is hard; always has been.

Lalo Alcaraz, good point but are you aware of the working conditions of meat processing plants and the demographics of the typical worker?

What…. hipster vegtables aren’t harvested by unicorns and fairies? They’ve been lying to us!!!

One can be vegetarian and support organizations like the UFW that fight for better conditions and higher wages for farm workers.

Just remember, be you vegetarian or carnivore, there is nothing on your dinner plate that volunteered for the job.
