Why the heck not?? He earned that day off. First one in weeks.
Gosh, it sure was nice of Marcy and Dana to ruin Joe’s first chance to relax in a long time. Because putting his life on the line on a daily basis wasn’t stressful enough.
Hmm. This just further highlights why I find Dana to be exceptionally aggravating.
First, Marci should not need to work a 17 hour day unless she chooses to do so. There should be no way in heck that Dana should be able to force Marci to do that, no matter what the damn job is.
Second, just because Marci’s 17 hour day happens to coincide with a day that Joe had gotten off…. how on planet Earth does that justify that Dana has the right to lay a guilt trip on Joe…. or that Joe should feel guilty about having a day off?!?!?!
Marci’s work is hard and strenuous…. but… hell, so is Joe’s!
I guess the moral here is…. always be prepared for aggravation whenever Dana is within the story arc. She is NOT a particularly nice person (character).

This is a dumb reaction, Joe.

Now THAT’S one high octane guilt trip.

Agree with both commenters above. Joe’s not that uncaring a husband, dad or person. Marcy will set him right, hopefully.

Wow! He let an unwarranted guilt trip take the joy out of his big moment!

Do you even play miniature golf with “real” golf clubs?

It’s a shame that you can’t even a day off because your wife’s boss is guilt tripping you.

Sleep on it Joe – the guilt trip only lasts so long…

Well now I’m convinced all the main characters have gone totally off the tracks.

I don’t think it was so much that Joe played golf on his day off as it was that when Marci has a day off she still has the kids.
