Oh dear, I think Envy has forgotten about Verity. Love her or hate her, that’s really not a good idea! She’s not the type to take kindly to being ignored.

I hate TV shows where my favorite character gets in a bad jam and may die or does die. But I love the horror movies where a bunch of idiots go into a haunted building and all get slaughtered. In real life idiocy gets rewarded so it is cathartic to see them lose in fiction.

Then up spake brave Horatius, the captain of the gate; “To every man upon this earth, Death comest soon or late. And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds for the ashes of his fathers and the alters of his gods?”, or " Greater love hath no man that he should lay down his life for his friend." Both apply here.

Why on earth hasn’t Voss cut Wolfe’s strings?

@ scyphi26: Agreed. Although I think Verity will at least get a chance at making her “Fox” fur coat & gloves?

I like that Voss even doesn’t make reply to Envy, he says his words for Wolfe. (And the last ones he says to himself.)

Voss now understands that he has to make the effort on his own to be good at anything. Now’s a good time as any to start!

That has to be the smartest decision Voss has ever made. Let’s hope it’s not his last…
