Spain has tried to import Black Friday, but having no Thanksgiving to base it on, many stores have declared Black Week. Which is doubly odd as our tax days fall in a different month here, so inventory isn’t an issue at this time of year.
My favorite scene is when Snoopy is making the sandwiches and dealing them out for Thanksgiving! We kept getting interrupted last year and I had to press rewind several times. One of my granddaughters finally told me to pay attention and then said “did you see it yet?” I’m not sure if the kids will watch it with me again.
Snoopy, knock on Charlie Brown’s door. He will let you in and share his Thanksgiving with you.Baby sister Sally will also be delighted to have you. Not sure about his parents. Never met them.

“Everything is closed”…in 2018, all Joe would have needed to do is wait until late afternoon when the shops open up for the pre Black Friday crowd…

Couldn’t even get a turkey burger, hey Joe? Wonder if they had those back in ’71.

Given that he is a dog, he could wait until people have finished eating and then beg for turkey. Maybe Joe Cool is too cool to beg.

What actually is a malt? I’ve heard the word, know it’s some sort of soda they had in ye olden days, but not much more than that..

Joe, be thankful you have any food. Too many around the world don’t have that simple luxury.

This is almost as bad as when Charlie Brown had that lame Thanksgiving dinner with pretzels and popcorn.

Look, Joe Cool, if you’re buying a hamburger and a malt at the drive-in, then somebody is serving you—-and they’re not home on Thanksgiving, either!
